Stencil Drawing

In this project, we had to first select a picture, and then use Photoshop to get the picture into three to four different colors. Next, we projected our picture on the whiteboard, and traced each color separately on a different piece of poster paper. After that, we used a knife to cut out each of the colors to create a stencil. This was the most difficult part for me, because I had a hard time cutting everything out and it was very time consuming. Then, we painted the background a color that would go with the picture. I chose yellow, because it was one of the colors i used and if I used it, then i wouldn't have to use the yellow spray paint. We then had to start spray painting. The mistake I made was that I didn't tape down my stencil good enough, so the colors started dripping then ended up everywhere. I tried to fix it by doing another coat, but it only made it turn out worse. I thought this project was really fun, and even though mine didn't turned out as well as i wanted it to, I learned a lesson that will hopefully help me in the future with art.
