Print Making

This art project had many steps in order to complete it. First, we went to the computer lab to research an animal. I chose a butterfly, because I could I could add detail and texture on the leaves and on the wings of the butterfly. Next, we drew a full page sketch of the animal we chose in its natural environment. After that, we chose a section of our drawing that included both the animal and the background. We then traced the section onto tracing paper, and transferred it over to the linoleum. Then, we had to cut out some parts of our drawing so we could make a print out it. Cutting out the linoleum was difficult for me, because I had a hard  time making sure everything was cut out. Also, I had lots of small details on the wing, which made things tougher. After we cut it, we started print making. I thought the prink making was fun, even though mine didn't turn out to well. The mistake I made was using too much ink. The hardest part of the print making process for me, was turning the linoleum over after it had ink on it. Sometimes when I turned mine over, it didn't stay in place. Overall, I thought this project was really fun even though I made some mistakes.
